End-of-Life Support in Granite Bay, California
There is no time more difficult in the life of a pet owner than when we are faced with saying goodbye. Bayside Animal Hospital understands the depth of grief during this difficult time, and we want to do everything in our power to make the end-of-life transition as comfortable as possible for you and your beloved pet.
The Decision to Say Goodbye
Making the decision to euthanize a pet can be as difficult as the process itself. If your pet has lost interest in eating or other activities that once brought joy, is experiencing significant mobility issues, or spends most of the day sleeping, please schedule an appointment. Our team will perform a full pet check to help you determine if now is the time to say goodbye.
If we collectively decide that it is time, we believe in being as transparent as possible through each stage of the end-of-life process.
Support Through the Whole Procedure
We are here to walk you through each step of the end-of-life transition. Our empathetic team is here to answer any questions you have with care and compassion. We will allow you to spend as much time as you desire with your pet in a quiet, soothing space.
When you are ready to begin, the veterinarian will perform a thorough exam prior to administering a sedative through an IV catheter. Your pet will immediately feel relaxed and sleepy. The final injection is administered shortly after, and within a few minutes, your pet will peacefully drift off to sleep as he or she transitions.
Bayside Animal Hospital offers assistance with burial and cremation options to take the stress out of the final steps of the process.
