Meet Our Team


Dr Nicole McArthur


Dr. McArthur graduated from UC Irvine with a BS in Biology before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 2001. Her veterinary career began with a brief tenure in dairy practice before settling in to small animal practice. Dr. McArthur has worked at several practices in Roseville and Rocklin as a general practitioner as well as an emergency vet. She joined the Bayside family in September 2020.

Dr. McArthur loves to spend time with her family and her many pets which includes dogs, cats, chickens, a duck, a hamster and a parrot named Howard. When she is not driving kids around or tending to her personal zoo, Dr. McArthur enjoys swimming, trail running, photography, knitting and soap making.

Dr Emily Nomann


Dr. Emily Nomann graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology prior to obtaining her veterinary degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, Dr. Nomann completed a small animal rotating internship in beautiful Sonoma County. Her internship focused on small animal surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and emergency medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Nomann enjoys relaxing at home with her wife, their two cats Peter and Dumpstina, and their black Lab mix, Blue. She loves traveling to Southern California to visit her family as well as adventuring all over the world. Some of her favorite countries include Italy, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Croatia.



Veterinary Receptionist

Susie has worked at Bayside since February 2015. She is married with a daughter and son/daughter-in-law. She has a German Shepherd named Apollo, a cat named Elphaba, 2 Goldendoodle grand-pups, DiNozzo & Enzo and a grand-cat, Elsa. She enjoys yoga/pilates, shopping, music & movies, gardening and spending time with her family & friends.


Veterinary Receptionist

KJ has always had a knack for caring. Whether it's for humans or animals she's always been involved. KJ started working with animals at the age of 12, volunteering her weekends to work at Apex Farms. She continued her love for animals volunteering at wildlife rescues and then going onto Carrington College. Her life then took a different path, as she went on to caregive for elderly and disabled adults, but now she has found her way back to her true calling, animals! KJ currently has a shihtzu-maltese named Squish and a bearded dragon named Beardie. In her free time you most likely will find her laughing at something, enjoying a walk, taking some nature photos, or singing her heart out.


Veterinary Receptionist

Emilia and her husband Zac recently moved here from the Bay Area. Together they have two adopted fur children, a tabby cat named Mr. Cat and a pit bull mix named Lana. Emilia went to college to be a teacher but has always had a passion for animals. While attending college and after completing her degree she worked at a boarding facility for the past 7 years. In her free time Emilia enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring her new surroundings, and taking her dog on hikes with her husband.


Nikki RVT

Hospital Manager

Nikki knew from a young age she would be working with animals for the rest of her life. She started volunteering at the Bradshaw shelter for 4 years in high school. She worked for Placer County Animal Services for about a year, before spending many years working in Emergency medicine as a veterinary assistant. She has been in the field since 2000, obtaining her RVT license in 2008. She has been in management for 6 years, which she enjoys very much. She briefly worked at UC Davis supervising ER/ICU prior to managing a Sacramento practice for 2 years, and joined the Bayside family in January 2021. She is a Granite Bay resident of 5 years. She has a husband, 4 busy kids, and many pets including dogs, a cat, and a rabbit. She has a history of showing dogs in both AKC/UKC, and breeds English Bulldogs. Animal control still holds a special place in her heart and she really enjoys working closely with the local animal shelters to run donation drives, especially focusing on the Pet Food Assistance Program for pets in need. In her “spare time” you can usually find her staying busy with the kids at the bike park, jiu jitsu, soccer, or the lake!

Cristal RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Cristal has been in the Veterinary field since 2003. She has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2006. Her love of reptiles introduced her to animal care and motivated her to learn more. Cristal has been a technician at Bayside since 2008. Working with cats and dogs is her passion, but she also enjoys working with horses. She has 1 cat named Salem. Cristal has several hobbies she enjoys. Swing dancing, Paddleboarding and Yoga are her favorite physical activities. She can never get enough time to improve her skills with her Ukulele and Recurve Bow.

Amanda RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Amanda ventured into the veterinary field after dabbling in various fields from fashion to coffee. She has always had a love for animals with various pets throughout her life including dogs, birds, lizards and a class crawfish. In 2019 she graduated from Carrington College and became a Registered Veterinary Technician the following year. She has been at bayside for a year but in the field for 3 years.

During her free time she can be found smothering her dog, Elvis, with love. She enjoys road tripping with Elvis and her boyfriend. Her and her boyfriend enjoy picking out new wines and of course cheese.



Veterinary Assistant

Kayla has been in the veterinary field for 6 years. She started at Bayside in 2019. She graduated from Carrington College in 2018 and is in the process of obtaining her Registered Veterinary Technician license. She loves animals of all kinds. She has worked general practice most of her career but has dabbled in emergency care as well. In her free time she loves cuddling with her chiweenie Levi and her kitty Patrick. Kayla and her fiance have a 2 year old daughter named Addison who keeps them on their toes. In her free time she loves traveling and spending time with friends and family.


Veterinary Assistant

Tyler has been in the Veterinary field since 2011 and absolutely loves the job! Also a part time student who enjoys math and also classes that pertain to the medical field.

In his free time, you can usually find him either playing basketball, blitzing down a black diamond, or on the river fishing with his Dachshund, Hostess.

Brittany has been in the Veterinary field since 2014. She started at Bayside in 2017. She has 2 dogs and 4 cats. Besides Brittany's love for animals, she enjoys spending her spare time with her boyfriend, going camping, 4-wheeling, and spending time with their family & friends.


Veterinary Assistant

Lexi has been in the veterinary field since 2013. She loves animals of all kinds but dogs being her favorite, she has three of her own. Chance a Great Dane, Cali a Husky mix and Ross an American Bulldog. They keep her hands full most of the time but in her spare time she enjoys photography, cars, friends & family.
